Getting Started
How do I create my first shift?
Log in to your dashboard, navigate to the Schedule page, and click the "Create Shift" button. Fill in the details like position, date, time, and assign it to an employee or leave it unassigned for someone to pick up.
How do I invite employees to join?
Go to the Team page and click "Invite Employee". Enter their email address and role. They'll receive an invitation link to create their account and join your business.
Can I import my existing schedule?
Currently, you'll need to manually create shifts in Shiffy. However, you can use shift templates and recurring patterns to quickly rebuild your schedule.
Shift Management
How do shift change requests work?
Employees can request shift changes, swaps, or coverage directly from the app. Managers receive notifications and can approve or deny requests with one tap. All changes are tracked for transparency.
What are shift templates?
Shift templates let you save commonly used shift configurations (like "Opening Shift - Barista") and quickly create new shifts from them without re-entering the same information.
How do recurring shifts work?
Recurring shifts let you set up patterns (like "Every Monday and Wednesday, 9 AM - 5 PM") and automatically generate shifts for a specific date range. Perfect for consistent schedules.
Account & Billing
How do I upgrade my plan?
Go to Settings > Billing in your dashboard. Click "Change Plan" and select the plan you want. Changes take effect immediately and billing is prorated.
What happens if I exceed my employee limit?
If you exceed your plan's employee limit, you'll be prompted to upgrade. We'll never lock you out - you can always upgrade to accommodate your growing team.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel anytime from Settings > Billing. Your account will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
Mobile App
Is there a mobile app?
Yes! We have an iOS app available on the App Store. Employees can view their schedules, request changes, and get notifications on their phones.
How do push notifications work?
When shifts are published, changed, or requests are made, employees receive push notifications on their phones. You can customize notification preferences in the app settings.
Can employees clock in/out from the app?
Currently, Shiffy focuses on scheduling and collaboration. Time tracking features are on our roadmap for future releases.
